Application phase for first HRO Award underway

The application phase for the HRO Award has been running since the beginning of July this year. The response has been tremendous. Many teams report how they provide highly reliable care for patients 24/7, and how they train and optimize processes down to the last detail. “The interest in the HRO Award shows the high priority given to the topic of high reliability in healthcare facilities today,” explains Dr. Daniel Dettling, Managing Director of Gesundheitsstadt Berlin e.V. It is also clear that “very high standards and extremely reliable and high-quality processes already exist. With the HRO Award, we are bringing these to the public's attention so that they can serve as a model for other institutions and contribute to a noticeable improvement in healthcare,” adds Dr. Peter Gausmann, patient safety management expert at the Ecclesia Group. Gausmann also draws the link to insurance brokers, saying: “Safer patient care means better insurability. This is highly relevant in times of major upheaval in the hospital landscape and the quality discussion,” Gausmann continues.
