Detmold. 41 apprentices and dual students will start their careers at the Ecclesia Group in August 2023. The largest insurance broker for companies and institutions attaches particular importance to this area in order to counteract the effects of the shortage of skilled workers and to ensure the quality of its own work in the long term.

Ecclesia currently employs a total of 114 apprentices and dual students group-wide. “Ultimately, it is the employees who determine the success of a company,” emphasizes Head of Human Resources Stefan Wölfle. ‘That is why the development of young talent, in particular through high-quality training, is particularly important to us.’ In addition, the group offers its trainees prospects for their entire working life. Ecclesia trains for its own needs and offers its employees a wide range of opportunities in Detmold or at one of the other locations in Germany and abroad.

Training starts with an induction week

To make it easier for the future specialists to start their careers, the group organized several induction days before the actual start of training. CEO Jochen Körner and CFO Denny Tesch welcomed the new employees. Wölfle then explained the corporate values, the basic tasks of an insurance broker and the group's business segments to the trainees. In addition, the junior staff explored the premises of the corporate headquarters in a rally and completed a team-building exercise together.

A wide range of apprenticeships and fields of study

The Ecclesia Group's training opportunities are as extensive as they are diverse: 22 trainees are part of the new intake at the main location in Detmold, training to become insurance and financial investment brokers, as well as four dual students who are completing a bachelor's degree in insurance at the Dortmund University of Applied Sciences alongside their training. In addition, a prospective IT specialist is beginning his training at Ecclesia, and another newcomer is attending the practice-integrated bachelor's program in business informatics. A new employee is pursuing a bachelor's degree in business law in a part-time combined work-and-study program. In addition, the group is training a marketing communications specialist and a chef this year and is pleased to welcome a one-year intern in computer science from the Dietrich-Bonhoeffer vocational college.

In the Berlin and Cologne branches, too, prospective insurance and financial investment specialists have started their apprenticeships this year. In addition, two dual students are strengthening the team in Cologne. The SCHUNCK GROUP, which is part of Ecclesia, is also training two IT specialists and welcoming three students in the dual bachelor's program in Sales & Management.

The selection process for the 2024 training program is already underway. More information can be found at ausbildung.ecclesia.de.
